  • What is AES2020?
    • AES2020 is the American Epilepsy Society’s all new virtual event taking place December 4-8, 2020.
  • Why should I attend?

    AES2020 offers the most extensive epilepsy education and scientific exchange in the field, plus innovative virtual opportunities to network with the brightest minds in epilepsy. You’ll get everything you expect from AES and more from this year’s new virtual event.

  • What does the registration fee include?
    • Five days and more than 150 hours of educational and scientific programming
    • A minimum of 43.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits
    • On-demand access to session recordings for 90 days after the event
    • Basic and clinical skills workshops (offered in the past for an additional fee)
    • Opportunities to network with other attendees, presenters, and exhibitors in real-time
    • Access to a virtual poster hall featuring more than 1,000 posters that showcase cutting-edge research and advancements in epilepsy
    • Entry to a robust virtual exhibit hall, where you can learn about the latest treatments and enjoy opportunities to win prizes
  • Can I register for just one or two days?

    There are no one or two-day registration options for AES2020. Registrants will receive all five days of programming included in their registration fee and will have access to most content on-demand for 90 days following the event.

  • What if I register in the wrong category by mistake?

    If you believe that you have mistakenly registered under the wrong category, please contact us:

    Please note that AES will review registrations to ensure that participants are registered in the proper category. If your registration is found to be in the incorrect category, AES will reassign you to the correct category. You will be refunded or invoiced for the difference in fees. To pay an unpaid balance, login to your registration and follow the prompts.

  • What payment options are accepted for registration?

    Accepted Credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

    Payments by check must be received by Monday, November 16. After this date, only credit cards will be accepted. Wire transfers will not be accepted.

  • If I am unable to attend, will my registration fee be refunded?

    Registration cancellation requests sent to aes@experient-inc.com no later than 11:59 PM  Pacific Time on Friday, November 27 are eligible for a full refund of the paid registration fee. Refund requests received November 28 or later will not be honored. Please allow 5-7 days for credit card refunds to be processed. Check refunds will be processed within 4-6 weeks after AES2020.  

     

  • If I am not able to attend, may someone else in my organization use my registration?

    Substitutions are permitted. If the substitute's registration fee is the same or less than the original registrant’s fee, no refund on the difference in registration fees will be given. If the substitute's registration fee is more than the original registrant’s fee, the difference must be paid to register the substitute. All substitution requests must be emailed to aes@experient-inc.com by Monday, November 16, 2020 at 11:59 PM Pacific Time. Substitutions will not be processed after this date. No-shows will not receive a refund.

     

  • May I record or screen-capture content during AES2020?

    No. AES strictly prohibits photography, video and audio recordings, and screen captures in all educational sessions.

    Material presented at AES2020 may not be reproduced in any format without the express written consent of AES or the otherwise applicable rights holder. By registering, participants acknowledge and agree that commercial or promotional distribution, publishing or exploitation of speaker sessions, content, or materials from the event is strictly prohibited.

    Violations of the AES2020 recording, video, and image capture policy may result in removal from the session and possible revocation of event registration. 
     

    The single exception: Photography or screen captures will be allowed in poster sessions with the permission of the poster authors. Registrants must confirm that the poster author consents by using the chat function to request permission.

  • Accessibility

    AES welcomes attendees with all needs and abilities. Our event complies with the legal requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act. When registering, please indicate any accommodations you may need to comfortably participate in the event.

  • Is there a maximum capacity for the virtual session rooms?

    Skills Workshops will be limited to 50 participants each. You will be able to save a space in these workshops when you register for the event. If a session is full, it will show as --Full-- during the registration process. All other sessions will accommodate as many registrants as needed.

     

  • What will I need to participate?

    You will need a computer or mobile device and a reliable internet connection. Google Chrome is the recommended web browser for the platform being used for AES2020. Much of your experience will depend on the strength and speed of your wifi and internet connection. You can check your internet speed here; 14+ mbps is optimal.
